The Jaguar InControl Remote Smartphone App allows you to remain in touch with your Jaguar, making life easier when it really counts. Use the app to remotely:• Prepare for a trip by checking the fuel level, range and dashboard alerts.• Locate your vehicle on a map and get walking directions back to it.• Check if you left any windows or doors open.• Download your journey information to assist in claiming business expenses.• In the event of a breakdown, request Optimised Jaguar Assistance.For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium (or for F-TYPE with InControl Remote) the following additional features are available:• Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required. • Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey.(Availability and function depending on vehicle capability)• Reset your vehicles alarm if it has accidentally triggered. • Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with the ‘beep and flash’ functionality.Download the App and log in using your Jaguar InControl username and password. This App requires one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:• InControl Protect• InControl Remote• InControl Remote PremiumFor further information, including which models Jaguar InControl Protect is available on, visit www.jaguarincontrol.comIf you do not currently own a Jaguar fitted with Jaguar InControl Protect you can still install this App and try the demo mode.For technical assistance visit the owners section of www.jaguar.com[new] Security Certificate UpdateWe upgraded the interface between the app and “the cloud”. Please note that this is a mandatory update and that previous versions of the app will stop working shortly. Please update to the new version as soon as possible.Remote App will now be supported on Android OS version 5.x or later to meet higher security requirements of our backend systems. This release and future updates will not be available on older versions of Android.

Used to work fine (ish) with bugs here n there but for over a month now, it has stopped working. I'm changing to 1 star soon if it doesn't come back on.
Just bad, the app has said my xj has been driving even when it parked and in the wrong identified location. Will not allow remote start.
Used now for 2 years no issues on my side or the app so well done
Usually thinks the car is parked at its penultimate location and that it's 'in use' when I try to precondition, so pretty pointless. Tried deleting and reinstalling but no improvement.
Will this ever be updated?
Terrible! I thought by downloading this app, I'd get a better remote connection...NOT! My profile synced, however, the app keeps staying the car is in sleep mode and will restart once the car has been driven. I've driven the car several times and still NOTHING! It's freezing in MI and I would like to auto start my car some of the time...geesh!! Definitely not a good look driving a Jag that doesn't have remote start!! #frustratedwithbothapps
The remote start function is inconsistent and works only 30% of the time. Why Jaguar thought it was better to add this feature to an app rather than putting a button on the remote is beyond me (and ridiculous).
Serious concerns for me raised again directly with Jaguar Land Rover Customer Experience Centre.
Useless. I can't even get to the point of trying the app as when I try to create an account it says it's sent a verification email but nothing arrives. I've checked my spam but it's not in there. Tried contacting Jaguar but no response.
No regular updates even though jaguar say there was in 2021
